CoVerica Cares Announces New Board of Directors

DALLAS, TX — CoVerica Cares is proud to announce the appointment of its new Board of Directors, marking an exciting new chapter in the organization's mission to serve and uplift the communities it calls home.

Guided by the principle, "Serving our Community with Purpose, Faith, and Action," the newly formed board brings together a diverse range of leadership experience, professional expertise, and a shared passion for meaningful, lasting impact. This milestone reflects not just growth within the organization, but a deepened commitment to the people and causes that make communities stronger.

The newly appointed CoVerica Cares Board of Directors includes:

• Heidi Sterlacci – Director

• Samantha Sterlacci Saathoff – Director

• Elizabeth Simson – Director

• Nikki Johnson – Director

• Jessica McBurney – Director

• Chelsi Hobbs – Director

• Josh Jones – Director

On April 16th, CoVerica Cares celebrated this momentum at its Celebration of Gratitude at Maggiano's Little Italy, honoring 2025 nonprofit partners, sponsors, donors, and volunteers. The evening's highlight was the presentation of the inaugural CoVerica Cares Volunteer of the Year award to newly appointed board member Elizabeth Simson.

"We are proud to recognize Elizabeth as our first-ever Volunteer of the Year, an individual whose selfless service and commitment have made a lasting difference in the lives of others," said Rhonda Cox, Executive Director.  

Since 2018, CoVerica, Inc., CoVerica Agency Alliance, CoVerica Cares, and the Sterlacci Family have directly and indirectly contributed a combined estimated total of $316,000 in support of our community. In addition to financial support, the board is actively collaborating with our sponsored nonprofit partners at The Warren Center, Genesis, and In-Sync Exotics to identify more hands-on volunteer opportunities that will bring our community and our volunteers together in direct, meaningful engagement.
